Midnight Cheese

A lot of people are using this event as a continued outlet to blame one political party over another. People need to wake up and realize that it’s the entire system that is at fault here. The two parties are essentially the same.

Do you really think if we had the other political party in office, they wouldn’t be spending unfathomable amounts of money right now?

Politicians at the Federal level exist to move money. They control the flow of money and it’s their job to get as much money to their friends/constituents as possible.

Remember: We need to change the system as a whole. Both parties are to blame.

This potential rabbit-hole of a post could go on forever, but I’m going to cut it off here.

I’ve officially put 100,000 miles on the Jetta since I’ve owned it. It took 5.5 years @ roughly 18,000 miles per year.

The car is actually running better now than it ever has, so I’m looking forward to many many more miles with it.

Here’s a list of issues and repairs during the last 100,000 miles:

• Throttlebody replacement
• Timing belt replacement
• 2 catalytic converter replacements
• 2 sets of tires
• Several reattachments of the front underneith splash guard
• Water pump replacement
• Soon to be 2 sets of floor mats

Probably couldn’t ask for much less.

The homemade DTV antenna has been assembled and installed. Everything seems to be working well. All the local channels tune-in just fine. My TV doesn’t display signal strength, so I don’t really have any way of knowing if the signal is any stronger compared to the rabbit-ears. But it does get rid of the ugly antenna in the living room.

I placed the antenna in the attic above the garage and set-up an A-B switch to allow switching the living room TV between antenna and cable, should we ever subscribe to Comcast again.

Larger washers might be helpful, but other than that, the Make instructions worked out well.
