I was working on a large After Effects project a few months ago on Vista, literally got up for two minutes to get something from the other room, and the machine had rebooted for automatic updates... Obviously I lost some work that time. Amazing it does that without prompting and without sending open apps a call to ask users to save their work.

I've always hated the way Windows blindsides you with those updates. When I'm ready to shutdown, I'm ready to shutdown. Why can't it update while I'm doing something else? Stupid Windows.
