Ernie, along with Stan Narten will have a show at the 1010 Gallery starting October 28th. Go take a look. Or don’t.
Judging by the red curtain on the invite, and the announcement taking place at a beautiful old theater, I’d say they’re going to announce some type of video integration with iTunes. Maybe Netflix meets iTunes in the form of h264 downloadable movies. Would definitely be a good use for those 30″ displays.
Veer asked their customers, “Where did you take your activity book?” Here are the results. Ernie, it looks like you’re really into that book.
The Metro Council will be researching the feasibility of a public broadband network for Davidson county. This is exactly what the local government should be doing with tax money. Apply it to a public utility that the entire city can benefit from. Without the incentive to make a profit, a public broadband network paid for by tax payers will largely undercut the $55 a month that Comcast requires for access to their network. Of course TCTA is upset. The local government/public/citizens of this county are moving toward breaking up the Comcast/Bellsouth monopoloy on boradband internet. If the FCC won’t do it, it’s left up to the people to take action.
We’ll see how far this initiative gets.
A big thanks to the large, white, General Motors SUV that slammed their passenger door into my driver side door while parked at Cool Springs Galleria Friday evening. I have a good scratch along with a nice bit of white paint displayed on my door, now. Hopefully a little waxing will take care of everything. If you’re lucky.
