First off, Kubrick is beautiful. It’s great. The colors, the fonts, the minimalism of it all, I just love. Kubrick is so good infact, that I’m almost scared to see what happens now that it’s the default theme in WordPress 1.5. I’m worried that it’s going to become so popular and abundant that it’s going to become commonplace, dull, and no longer visually enticing. Maybe this is all just crazy-talk. I just don’t want to see a good design go bad.
I currently can’t get enough of Fight Test by The Flaming Lips. I think the album this song came from was released 2 or 3 years ago, but I have just now discovered it. Very cool indeed. I love new musical discoveries, even if the rest of the world has known about them for quite some time.
Spent the weekend in K-town helping out with the UTKLUG Installfest. Hours and hours of Linux which required not one, but two dinners to satisfy the hunger pains. Friday night went with Ernie and Rachel to see Evervigilant. Pretty decent. Someone snaped up some pics.
Found my Kinko’s post linked on this anti-Kinko’s site. I have to say the last few times I’ve had to deal with Kinko’s(always in a last resort situation), they’ve done a pretty shoddy job; Colors on their printers uncalibrated, printouts coming back with the layout shifted completely off from what it should be. Pretty bad. I think if they just hired some people with a little bit of a print/design experience they wouldn’t get so many complaints. They’re usually good at discounting for any mistakes, however.
